In 2024: Canada plans to welcome around 90 000 workers through the International Experience Program

On December 11th, 2023 , the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, announced the opening of the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program. In 2024 the IEC program will allow nearly 90,000 young people from IEC partner countries and territories to come to Canada and participate. Those interested in applying can submit a profile starting from December 11, 2023.
The International Experience Canada program offers young people the opportunity to work and travel in Canada. This program aims to promote cultural exchange and build connections between Canada and other countries. Participants can choose to work in various sectors such as hospitality, tourism, and agriculture, allowing them to gain valuable work experience while exploring the beauty of Canada. Through this program, participants can also immerse themselves in Canadian culture, interact with locals, and make lifelong friendships. The International Experience Canada program provides a unique opportunity for young individuals to broaden their horizons, enhance their skills, and create unforgettable memories.
The following countries have an agreement with Canada under the International Experience Canada program: ANDORRA, AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, CHILE, COSTA RICA, CROATIA, CZECHIA, DENMARK, ESTONIA, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, HONG KONG, IRELAND, ITALY, JAPAN, LATVIA, LITHUANIA, LUXEMBOURG, NETHERLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY, POLAND, PORTUGAL, SAN MARINO, SLOVAKIA, SLOVENIA, SOUTH KOREA, SPAIN, SWEDEN, TAIWAN, UNITED KINGDOM
